Moving around Hokianga
During festival hours courtesy vans will be at venues for badgeholders convenience.
Apart from our Courtesy Vans and the Passenger & Vehicle Ferry operating between Rawene and Kohukohu, you will need to have your own transport to get around.
Kohukohu Hotel- courtesy van/s will transport from the Ferry to the Hotel -5km and back to Ferry
Ferry - Per Passenger $4.00 return,
Per Vehicle $14.00 return.

Travel Times between Venues
The seven Festival venues are located in Waimamaku, Omapere, Opononi, Rawene and Kohukohu with a Ferry crossing from Rawene across the Harbour to the Landing then on to Kohukohu.
Travel times as follows:
Omapere to Opononi - 3.5kms takes 4 minutes driving
Opononi to Rawene - 20.3kms takes 17mins driving
Rawene to Kohukohu - 7 kms including Ferry crossing
Omapere to Waimamaku - 10kms approx 5 min drive
While travel between venues may seem a distance remember its not always about the destination, enjoy the quiet, the scenery and the views, and the ride.
Need to Know - There are two Eft Pos machines in Hokianga, and there will be a lot of people in town wanting cash. Be sure to bring cash with you.
